Intelligent Construction Leads the Future of Steel: New Construction Company Successfully Co-hosts the 3rd Greater Bay Area Steel Structure Intelligent Construction and Building Industrialization Technology Exchange Conference

 

“Guangzhou, May 8-10, 2025” – The “3rd Greater Bay Area Steel Structure Intelligent Construction and Building Industrialization Technology Exchange Conference“ was grandly held in Guangzhou under the theme“Smart Construction Leads the Future of Steel. The event was organized by the “Guangdong Steel Structure Association”, the “Hong Kong Association of Metal Construction”, the “Macau Construction Industry Association”, and other institutions, with “China Construction Eighth Engineering Division (CCEED) New Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.” serving as a co-organizer.  

 

At the conference, Li Song, Chief Engineer of CCEED New Construction’s South China Branch, delivered a keynote report titled “Research and Application of Intelligent Construction Technologies for All-Steel Eccentric Tube Super High-Rise Buildings.”  

 

Using the ”Guangzhou Commerce Center Project“, an all-steel eccentric tube super high-rise building, as a case study, the report introduced intelligent construction technologies developed by CCEED New Construction for super high-rise steel structure projects. Key innovations included ”deformation control and monitoring of all-steel structures, installation of mega joints and transfer systems, magnetic-adsorption intelligent welding, and the design and application of externally mounted self-climbing tower cranes.”  

 

”3rd China Green Building Materials, Prefabricated Construction & Intelligent Construction Exhibition”  

Concurrently, the ”3rd China Green Building Materials, Prefabricated Construction & Intelligent Construction Exhibition” was held in Guangzhou. Distinguished guests, including ”Yang Qinggan”, Deputy Director-General of the ”Guangdong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development”, along with ”Chen Zimin”, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Information Division, and ”Cui Xiuming”, First-Level Staff Member of the Rural Construction Division, visited the exhibition. They were accompanied by ”Guo Qingsong”, Secretary of the ”CCEED South China Bureau”, who provided detailed introductions.  

 

During the event, ”over 4,000 visitors from nearly 200 organizations”explored CCEED’s exhibition area.  

 

”Yang Qinggan” praised CCEED for its commitment to ”innovation, low-carbon development, and high-quality engineering”, emphasizing that the company should continue to ”lead industry transformation, develop new productive forces, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.”  

 

At the exhibition, CCEED showcased ”cutting-edge technologies in smart construction, green building, and prefabricated construction”through ”live demonstrations, interactive experiences, and video presentations.” Highlights included:  

 

”1. High-Load-Bearing Modular Steel Structure Temporary Support System”

This system consists of ”upper and lower bases with lattice columns in between”, featuring ”standard sections of 1.8m and 3.3m heights” for flexible assembly. The ”LC-1.5 series support”, made of ”Q355B steel”, is a universal solution that enhances efficiency and reduces material waste in steel structure construction.  

 

”2. Self-Climbing Steel Structure Welding Platform”

This ”AI-powered welding platform” uses ”multiple synchronized winches” and a ”“ship lock” obstacle-crossing mechanism”to move along steel columns without interfering with beam installation. It significantly improves ”safety and efficiency”” in multi-section steel column welding.

CCEED New Construction will continue to ”leverage advanced equipment for efficiency gains, promote green construction for sustainable development, and drive high-quality transformation” in the industry.
