According to the latest report from industry research institutions, the global modular steel structure building market size exceeded 320 billion yuan in 2026, with a compound annual growth rate of 22%, making it one of the fastest-growing segments in the steel structure industry. Among them, cultural tourism resort hotels, overseas infrastructure camps, affordable housing, and emergency public buildings are the four most demanded scenarios.
Modular steel structure buildings have the advantages of short construction period, relocatable, green and recyclable, especially suitable for fast delivery projects: for example, a modular hotel with 300 rooms can be completed in only 3 months; for overseas projects, prefabrication in China and assembly by sea can greatly reduce the cost and risk of overseas construction. At present, the demand for modular steel structures in infrastructure and cultural tourism projects in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa and other regions has increased by more than 40%, becoming a new growth point for Chinese steel structure enterprises to go overseas.
