Policies continue to release favorable signals, and many regions have successively introduced special support policies for intelligent construction, clearly proposing to promote technologies such as steel structure intelligent production lines, full-process BIM application, and construction robots, and drive the steel structure industry to transform from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing".
Industry data shows that in 2026, the penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools among large-scale steel structure enterprises in China has exceeded 75%, and the proportion of intelligent production lines among leading enterprises has increased to more than 40%. The application of welding robots, laser cutting equipment, digital production management systems, and BIM collaborative design software has greatly improved the production accuracy and delivery efficiency of steel structure components, while reducing labor costs and safety risks. However, small and medium-sized steel structure enterprises still face pain points such as difficult technology selection, high transformation costs, and shortage of professional talents, and there is still huge room for the overall digital upgrading of the industry.
